Carbon window-tinting film doesn’t have metal in it, so there is no issue with cell phones and radio transmission when it is used. Carbon window-tinting film is dark and matte-finished, so it provides a tasteful option on windows. The carbon content of the film blocks about 40% of the infrared light (the kind that causes warmth) that enters through the windows. So it keeps your vehicle cool.

Carbon window-tinting film is about as effective as other varieties in blocking heat; its use will effectively cool inside space while also helping prevent fading to upholstery. Thus the air conditioning will not need to work so hard to cool the space during the summer, nor will the heating system be so heavily impacted during the winter.

Unlike dyed film, carbon film will not fade with time.

What is Window Tinting?

Our Carbon-based window film series is made using Carbon Black technology which uses carbon for its color and not dye. (Dye turns purple). This series has increased solar benefits when compared to dyed and HP films and comes in three shades with a Lifetime Warranty. Carbon Film will never fade to purple. It is constructed with Nano particles of carbon in between the layers which enables the film to be extremely color stable. Our Carbon film is non-metal and will not cause any signal interference.

Layer Breakdown

YES! In fact all our films, from color-stable dyed, and our 3 Performance Films -Carbon, Nano-Ceramic, and UltraNano Ceramic – block 99% of UVA & UVB & UVC. In fact, the Skin Cancer Institute recommends window film in general to protect people from skin cancers. With our Carbon film installed on your car’s windows, you get the equivalent of a 300 SPF or higher sunscreen!

What’s Legal in PA?

It’s important to note that each state has regulations regarding the amount of tint allowable. According to PennDOT, tint is not allowed on the windshield of a vehicle except for the top four inches to shade the sun. The front side windows and backseat windows must allow for more than 70 percent of light to come in the vehicle. The rear window can be tinted. Vehicles exempt from this rule include emergency, government or any vehicle with a valid certificate of exemption.
